Gold coins and silver coins have fascinated collectors and ordinary people alike because of their design and history. The Standing Liberty quarter was at one time at the centre of public outcry because of its design as the original design displayed Lady Liberty bare breasted. However the design was changed as a result of this and a mail was added to cover the breast plus three stars below the eagles on the reverse was added. This coin has varieties also available for collectors. The third design during the same period saw a recessed date below the design to reduce wear.
